#Giveaway : Barkley "secret" Secret Service Dog

While the boys were here, we were sent a cute chapter book, Barkley Secret Service Dog : The Case of the Purple Diamonds, for one of them to read...
He was excited about it, but wanted to read it before bed...
Well, when bedtime came around, his older brothers wanted lights off to watch TV, so his night time reading got pushed further and further behind...
Until, it was time to go and he had never read it.

I wanted to read it, as it looked cute, so I picked it up to check it out...
It is geared for 8-10 year olds, so it was a super quick read...

I thought it was cute!
Barkley is a "secret" Secret Service Dog!
What does that mean?
Well, he is the dog to a Secret Service Agent...
So, he gets to snoop all around the White House!
But, he is also (secretly) an undercover agent!
Ha Ha!!!!
He goes snooping and trying to solve cases, using all his techy gizmo's!
Once it is time to solve the case, he lets his owner know...
The owner solves it and gets the credit!!!

It was such a cute little chapter book.
As all chapter books for that age go, the chapters were short to keep their attention and to give satisfaction once completing it.
Also, the story was cute, with enough excitement for that age!!!
Besides the actual story, it has great illustration to give young readers a break from time to time!
(Or to help them keep others attention, if they are reading to younger siblings!)

If you have a young one interested in chapter books, or you want to try and get your younger ones to love reading, I think that you will be seeing more of Barkley!!!!

Fire Fly Toothbrushes - #giveaway

Is it a hassle to get your younger kids to brush their teeth? Broxton loves it and asks throughout the day if he can go and brush his... Now that he has a new toothbrush!!! We were sent a couple toothbrushes from Fire Fly Toothbrushes and I just love the concept! With Fire Fly, they light up! You just press the button and they light up for a solid minute. What we do here is a little system. First, Broxton brushes his teeth for the first minute. (just a teeny bit of toothpaste) Then, I brush the next minute (once again, minimal toothpaste.) Finally, he gets to brush them a final minute (no toothpaste.) The system is working and his teeth are clean! During the day, when he wants to brush them.. He can, but with no toothpaste. Well, with the Exergen Temporal Scanner ... Wait is something that can be eliminated! Why do I say that? Just because the wait is merely 2 seconds!
