I have now fully determined that being married, being a mom and being older, I just do not find things as funny as I once did...  I mean, I used to be able to watch all sorts of movies and find the humor throughout it... That is not the case now...
Let me say, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED The Hangover...
That being said, I was excited to see the movie, 21 & Over, as it is from the writers of The Hangover...   But, we could not watch it.
First of all, I hate to give bad reviews, but this is my blog and I hope that you look to it for honest information...   We put the movie on ....  I am not exaggerating when I say that it felt like every other word was the f-bomb.  I just do not get what the deal is that people feel the need to curse like that.  Once again, honesty here... I am not perfect... I use words that are not appropriate... but come on...
I think we tried it for about 10 minutes (if even)  It totally felt like "The Hangover" just with younger kids...  To the point of pulling up in the cab and yelling what not...  It was totally the same movie, just younger kids and even MORE foul language...

But- I do know that everyone has different tastes, so just because we did not make it through, doesn't mean that it isn't for everyone...   That being said, I wanted to share the synopsis, you might enjoy it!

Synopsis
From the writers of The Hangover comes a movie 21 years in the making. Straight-A college student Jeff Chang (JUSTIN CHON of the Twilight Saga) has always done what’s expected of him. But when his two best friends Casey (SKYLAR ASTIN of Pitch PerfectWreck-It Ralph) and Miller (MILES TELLER of The Spectacular Now,Project XRabbit Hole) surprise him with a visit for his 21st birthday, he decides to do what’s unexpected for a change, even though his critical medical school interview is early the next morning. What was supposed to be one beer becomes one night of chaos, over indulgence and utter debauchery in this outrageous comedy.

Comments

  1. My oldest two boys (grown) saw and liked The Hangover, not sure if they've seen this one, though I suspect they have if it was on at the movies.

    I haven't seen either.

  2. We'll have to see this on DVD from the library, so a little wait.
