Now that you know how great the food is at Dave and Busters..
Let me tell you about their games...
They used to roll out new games from time to time, like one at a time ... but they have now decided to go a different route.  Now, they will introduce several games at once, twice a year or so.
Just in time for summer, they have introduced new games...
Broxton saw that they had CANDY CRUSH and was so excited...
But, there were like 3 summer camp parties in there, so you can imagine the amount of people...

When you first walk in, you are immediately greeted with the new games.
Up front and center...  I wish there was a way to take pictures of it all, but as I said, there were tons of kids there... and I don't want pictures of MY kid on someones blog without permission, so I am not going to do that to others...

The NEW GAMES they have recently released:
Temple Run - New!
Race down ancient temple walls and along sheer cliffs. Avoid obstacles, collect coins and and see how far you can run!

Blackout - New!
Throw the Googabunga at the darkened sun. Cover 100% of the sun's surface and win 500 tickets!

Dizzy Chicken - New!
Get dizzy with Bay Tek’s Dizzy Chicken! Obnoxiously fun for all ages. Plunge the ball into the spiral of lights to land it on the green target. Finesse is the key!

Milk Jug Toss - New!
Toss the balls into the milk jug or surrounding holes to win tickets. Shoot for the Super Bonus by getting all the balls in the jug.

Dream Raiders - New!
A fantastic new two-player deluxe game from Sega. Ride a dragon, pilot a UFO, get on horseback or put on your super suits and head for the skies!

Harpoon Lagoon - New!
4 player game for the entire family. Players fire harpoons at the fish swimming by and win tickets. Features a hidden jelly fish bonus!

Dark Escape 4D - New!
See and feel the monsters in a new game that’s in a class of its own. Wearing 3D glasses, try to escape from a mad man by shooting your way out.

Cut The Rope - New!
The popular mobile app now on a high definition 42" touch screen! Solve the puzzles by feeding Om Nom and win big tickets.

Broxton ran straight to the NASCAR game.  There were kids playing on the other cars, so he "thought" he was playing for this picture...  Hey, he loved it and it gave us a few more minutes to figure out where to go... But I know that we will be going back to this game next time we are there..

Keeping up with the trends, Dave and Busters had an ICE AGE game.    It was where you would bang the acorns to try and crack the ice.   He seemed to enjoy it and won a few tickets...
They have several fun games for those that want to collect tickets...
but they also have tons of games for those just looking to have a good time.
Now, I am not certain, but I believe I even saw an "air hockey" time game that allowed for four players... As in one player on each side of the square!  How cool is that?!

He was really excited when he saw Frogger.  In this game, you had to jump over and catch bugs... You won points based on what you ate and if you got across or if you fell in the water.
The highlight of this?
HE HIT THE JACKPOT!!!!
Yes!  He won 1000 tickets!

The great thing about Dave and Busters is that their points are redeemed for great prizes.
Yes, there are kid items... Candy and random knick knacks... but they also have items with the Dave and Busters Logo... and prizes such as blenders and more.
Broxton has decided that he is obsessed with Angry Birds... and he noticed they had Angry Birds Prizes... So, we will be heading back to let him get an Angry Bird Prize.
(We did not get one that day, as the line of all the summer camp kids was crazy and we had somewhere else to be!)

Bottom Line...
Dave and Busters is a great place to take your kids so that everyone can have a great time...
BUT - It is JUST AS AWESOME if you want to get a babysitter and head out for a date night of your own ... Kid Free!!!!

Comments

  1. I went there when I lived in Atlanta, and have been there since. So that was in 2001. I'm just not a big game person. I play them if offered to me though.

  2. Thanks for sharing Noelle.

I need to take the kids out somewhere too and make a list.

I hate the side I'm in. Oy.
