The 411 on Life Skills - Book Review

As we all know, I love to read and I am always eager to pick up a new book.
I was asked if I wanted to review the book:

Of course I said yes!
Who would turn that down?
I just might learn a few things!

This book covers a little of this and a WHOLE LOTTA THAT.
I will admit, most were things that are common sense for me...
But then again, I have also been on my own for some time!

If you have a kid heading out into the "real world," this might be a great gift idea!

The Table of Contents is Broken down into 26 Chapters.
From Cleaning Supplies to Finances.
Bringing Home Baby to Preparing for a Funeral.
Like I said, it covers it all!

Not only does she tell you how to clean your house and cook your foods..
It also tells you about your nutrition basics and how much food in each category to eat.
(Including healthy eating habits for kids!)

For those that already know how to clean and eat, she then goes into discussing finances.
Build your credit score, balance your checkbook, use your credit card to establish credit, but be sure to pay it off each month!
I liked the "On the Road Again" section...
Most people going out on their own for the first time don't really think about vacation time...
(I bet mom and dad handled it all before, but now... it is up to you!)
This section not only talks about preparing your home for your vacation (mail, newspaper, air conditioning) it also talks about packing your suitcase, your car and paying any bills that might be due while you are gone.

Buying a car, owning your first home...
These are all milestones where you will appreciate any extra advice.
Read this book and then discuss with someone you trust, this is a big investment...

As I said, this book has tons of information.
If you have a kid that is finally moving out, or you want to drop a hint in a big way :)
Look into purchasing The 411 on Life Skills.
