Who Would You Choose? Between You and Me

If you are looking for a great page turner, look no further than Between You and Me by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus.   If the authors seem familiar to you, it could be because they are also the authors of The Nanny Diaries.  (I have not heard of that either, sad to say, but thought it seemed pretty important, so I wanted to make sure you knew about it...)

Anyways, I just finished reading this great book and I am trying to figure out what to do...  Pass it along so that others can read it, or keep it in my library to read again later?  I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
Let me try to share with you, without giving it all away...

Logan and Kelsey were best friends in their childhood, but then one night, Kelsy was uprooted from her home and the "best friends forever" were no longer allowed to have contact.  Logan went off to school and is currently living in New York.  She shares an apartment with a roommate that seems to be worried more about herself than anyone else... Logan seems pretty depressed, but not so depressed to do anything drastic...  Kelsey on the other hand?  She is a rock star celebrity that Logan now only reads about and sees on television...

Until that phone call... That one phone call that changes everything...
Now, Logan uproots herself and heads to be Kelsey's assistant.  Who wouldn't want that?  To be back with her best friend?  To get out of the job and apartment she is unhappy with...

But then, it all starts to unfold...
I took the book that Kelsey is just a puppet to her parents.. That her parents are basically living through her... There were several instances that I could feel myself preparing to yell at Kelsey, Logan and Kelsey's parents... but then I had to remind myself that this was a book and I was sure to look like an idiot to Broxton.    I would be interested to see your take on everything... Maybe it was just me, but I was annoyed with some of the things that Kelsey did... and her parents..

You see, after enjoying the "celebrity life"  all she really wanted was to have a normal life...
A husband... true love... a baby... she wanted to have the perfect family...

Money can't always buy you everything...

This book had me reading all through the night trying to see what was going to happen next....
So, if you are looking for a great book to read... I highly recommend this one!
